Official Publication Calendar & Issue Finalization Policy

1. Publication Model

The Journal of Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence (JITCAI) operates under an issue-based publication model with rolling manuscript processing. Manuscripts are accepted, reviewed, and prepared for publication on a continuous basis, while final publication occurs at the issue level.

2. Publication Frequency

JITCAI follows a monthly publication plan, with the goal of releasing one issue per month, subject to editorial readiness and production completion. The journal prioritizes quality, ethical publishing practices, and rigorous peer review over rigid publication dates.

3. Issue Capacity

  • Each issue is designed to publish approximately ten (10) articles

  • An issue is considered complete once it reaches its target article count

  • Articles are assigned to issues based on their readiness for publication, not solely on acceptance date

4. Rolling Finalization Within an Issue

To ensure timely publication while maintaining editorial consistency:

  • Articles that complete all final requirements within the same calendar month as an issue release may still be included in that issue, provided the issue has not reached capacity

  • This rolling finalization approach allows flexibility for minor administrative or production delays without penalizing authors

5. Carry-Forward to Subsequent Issues

If an accepted manuscript cannot be finalized before an issue is closed due to:

  • Organizational or institutional approval delays

  • Author-requested extensions

  • Production or administrative timing

then:

  • The manuscript retains its acceptance status

  • No resubmission or re-review is required

  • The manuscript is automatically scheduled for the next available issue

Once an issue reaches its target number of articles, any remaining accepted manuscripts in production are queued for the following issue.

6. Publication History and Growth

  • 2024: One inaugural issue published (journal launch year)

  • 2025: Three issues published to date, reflecting controlled and quality-focused growth

This phased expansion reflects the journal’s commitment to maintaining high editorial standards while scaling publication volume responsibly.

7. Editorial Oversight

Final decisions regarding issue closure, article assignment, and publication timing are made by the Editor-in-Chief in coordination with the editorial team to ensure:

  • Editorial consistency

  • Ethical publishing practices

  • Compliance with indexing and archiving standards

8. Transparency for Authors

Authors are encouraged to communicate anticipated approval or administrative timelines early. The editorial team will work closely with authors to ensure smooth scheduling and clear expectations regarding issue placement.
